Time Saving - Edit and Backup AVCHD Files at the Same Time

Meanwhile Backup and Convert--the Best Way to Save Time

Too many videos were saved in my Panasonic HDC-TM700 after the vacation. So when getting back, what should be done firstly for me is to select and backup video files into Mac. Next, I will convert the video formats from MTS to Apple ProRes for editing with FCP X so that I can enjoy MOV videos with high quality anytime I want. It’s not difficult, but really a long-time process. Fortunately, I have Final Mate for Mac 1.7, with which I can convert/edit videos while files backup are proceeding in backstage.

To save time for you and save space for your camcorder, just follow me.

1. Connect the Camcorder with Mac via USB Cable
When connected, Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac 1.7 will run automatically. Follow the wizard, program will show the multiple storage mediums of your camcorder.

2. Backup All/Chosen Video Files in Backstage

When the storage mediums are shown in the program, you can double click the video file to preview one by one. This could help to decide which video to choose. If chosen, the files will backup in backstage after clicking the button “start”.

3. Convert/Edit video files with Final Mate for Mac 1.7, fit for FCP X
As backup starting, you can still do operations such as converting and editing. You can convert the MTS files to Apple ProRes for FCP X, you can also merge or split the files to get a perfect whole. All these operations are up to you.

The 3 steps show you how to operate the AVCHD files in your camcorder. Follow the steps you can save much time from converting and storing separately. What more important is saving space for the camcorder to enjoy the next journey. If you have a PC, maybe you’ll be interested in Final Mate 1.7 to have a try.
