Deinterlace/Convert Canon Vixia HG20 AVCHD to representative MPEG codec for Magix Movie Edit Pro

If you own a HD camcorder, you certainly need a camcorder video editor to make your movie shine or shaved, you may think Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe Premiere Elements are nice for editing your recordings, but very expensive to get it. Or you don’t like the style of other professional editors like Pinnacle, Avid, etc, so that Magix Edit Movie Pro is your choice. No matter what the reason you pick up Magix, you may face the problem for opening/editing your AVCHD .mts files from Canon camcorder like Vixia HG20, some one said they can load them to Magix, but the result was terrible with lots of lines displayed. In such a case, I suggest you to remove such lines (also called interlaces or interlacing artifacts) with a great deinterlacing filter, then convert then to Magix Movie Edit Pro's most compatible format MPEG-2 (*.mpg) using a Canon Avchd to Magix Converter, after that, just load them to Magix and start your movie shining experience.

Soon I began to look for a convert and filter both the unity on the net, finally I found and tried Aunsoft Final Mate (claimed to be professional camcorder assistant software), I completed both deinterlacing and conversion, and got perfectly treated videos, so that I bought it. Check out the deinterlacing and conversion output by Aunsoft Final Mate, amazing?

Now I will share my experience my step by step instruction to deinterlace and convert Canon HG20 AVCHD to Magix Movie Edit Pro

Step 1. Import avchd .mts videos from Canon VG20 camcorder to Aunsoft Final Mate.
Use USB 2.0 cable to connect canon vixia vg20 camcorder to PC, run Aunsoft Final Mate as the best Canon AVCHD deinterlace filter and converter. Follow the camcorder wizard to import camcorder videos. Alternatively, you can click the "Import" button to browse .mts files.

Step 2. Drag and drop video clips to a movie for conversion.
While the videos are loaded in camcorder tab, you can directly drag and drop them using standard Shift-Click or Ctrl + A to create a movie for conversion. You will get a popup message asking for whether to create one movie or multiple movies, if you want to merge all these sony avchd .mts into one file for conversion, just choose "Create a single movie".

Step 3: Deinterlace Canon AVCHD videos.
Double click the movie you need convert to highlight in timeline, then check the box of "Deinterlace" lied in editing tool bar.

Step 4. Deinterlace/convert canon vg20 video .mts to mpeg for Magix Movie Edit Pro.
Click the "Export" button and you will face the pop-up window with options like Export into Devices or others. Choose Export into Editor, and then choose the MPEG-2 (*.mpg) option in Magix Movie Edit group as output format. Click the OK button to start conversion.

When the conversion is done, you can edit canon vg20 avchd videos in Magix Movie Edit Pro without any problem.
