Best Video Converter for Proshow Produder to Add AVCHD to Slideshow

As a service manager, I am regularly asked to produce slide shows of meetings, conferences and training aids. My video camera is a Canon HG21, which products M2TS clips. I have chosen Proshow Producer as one of the better Slide Show products; however, it does not support the Canon M2TS videos. How to put Canon HG21 video to ProShow Producer?
