I got several DVD discs as training materials, and I would like to make a DVD backup and storage of the training videos. With my MacBook, it is not easy to backup DVD without third party applications. Luckily, I find Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac to make a copy for my computer and iPad. I can easily convert training video from DVD to MP4 for iPad, and make a full disk copy on my MacBook. Actually, I can also stream the videos on Mac to my Samsung HDTV.
If you are a student or keep studying on certain project, you may also want to make a copy of the DVD training material to iPad or iPhone for travel. The following guide may be useful for you to backup DVD on Mac OS X.
Step 1. Add DVD video to Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac.
Free download Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac as the first-class DVD backup tool on Mac Snow Leopard, and insert DVD disc to MacBook built-in DVD Rom. Click the "BD/DVD Folder" button, and choose the DVD disc from the DEVICES to load the whole disc.
Step 2. Choose iPad MP4 format or make a full disk copy.
To get the training videos to play on iPad, you shall click the "Format" option and choose iPad > iPad HD Video as output format.
If you would like to make a full disk copy on Mac, just click the "DiskCopy" button, and the DVD backup process will start right away. You will get the .vob, .ifo, .bup files on Mac for playback.
Step 3. Rip DVD to MP4 for iPad.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the conversion from DVD movies to iPod Touch 4G MP4 on Mac Snow Leopard will start immediately.
After the conversion, you can send the output training videos to iPad, iPod Touch 4G or iPhone to review the training materials for study.
For the Training DVD video disc, you may also choose to load certain title or chapter by clicking the "IFO/ISO" button. It is recommended that you load the entire disc for conversion. To get other videos like MKV, TiVo, VRO to play on Mac computer or iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, you can use Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac as your multimedia solutions on Mac.
