Import MTS videos to iMovie for editing-Convert MTS to AIC

If you have ever tried to Import Canon HFS20 HD 1080p MTS videos to iMovie for editing?You must be extremely disappointed to see no video displayed in the import window. AVCHD is becoming more and more popular among camcorders, but this advanced video mode is still incompatible with iMovie. It really puzzled me for a long time.

2. Create a Movie for converting Canon HF S20 AVCHD MTS to AIC
Create a movie for conversion. Drag and drop the S20 MTS from Camcorder tab to the new movie. Click the icon on the right side to choose its output format. Just choose “iMovie and Final Cut Express” and then “AIC(*.mov)”.


3. Export AIC (*mp4) for iMovie editing

After setting the output format, click the “Export” and conversion from AVCHD MTS to AIC begins.
When conversion is finished, just Import AIC(*mp4) Videos to iMovie/FCE for Editing with high quality.
