Mac MTS Merger/Converter - Make AVCHD compatible to iDVD for DVD player

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX10, with the 16.2 megapixel "Exmor R" CMOS image sensor, is the waterproof, dustproof compact camera. It is easy to shoot live life in HD video and even 3D still image with TX10. To shoot HD videos, the files could be saved as AVCHD at1920x1080/60i with 24Mbps (FX) or 17Mbps (FH).

However, the Sony Picture Motion Browser is only for Windows, and iDVD does not support this kind of file format for burning AVCHD to DVD disc. If you would like to merge the MTS files and burn to DVD-Video disc for watching on TV, a Mac AVCHD Joiner/Converter is needed. Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac is the first choice for you to make AVCHD compatible to iDVD for DVD player.

Below is the quick guide for you to join Sony AVCHD files and burn to DVD disc on Mac without Picture Motion Browser.

Step 1. Import Sony TX10 MTS files to Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac.
You can capture videos from camcorder to Mac, or import videos from external hard drive. To capture videos from camcorder, just connect the HDcam to iMac/MacBook Pro via USB cable, and the Mac Sony MTS files joiner will pop up with camcorder wizard for you to choose mts files directly. To import videos from hard drive, just click the Add Path button and browse the folder with .mts files listed.

Step 2. Join Sony MTS files into one movie.
Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac supports two kinds of joining processes: one for lossless output, and the other for conversion. Here we need to convert MTS to MOV, so just click the drop-down button of the "Create a New Movie" button, choose "For Conversion". Then drag and drop the files from camcorder tab or resource tab to the new movie ID to merge and combine the clips.

Step 3. Export the merged AVCHD files to QuickTime movie for iDVD.
Click the "Export" button, and go to the "Common Formats" button. Choose HD Video > H.2264 HD Video(*.mov) as output format. Then click OK button to start merging/combining AVCHD file to MOV.

Step 4. Burn Sony TX10 video to DVD with iDVD.
After joining the TX10 video clips into one file, just run iDVD, create a project and import the output movie for burning to DVD disc.

When the processing is finished, the DVD disc could be viewed on standalone DVD player. Hope you enjoy burning TX10 AVCHD files to DVD on Mac with Aunsoft Final Mate for Mac and iDVD.
