However, if you have recorded AVCHD video with HD camcorders like Sony HDR-PJ30, HDR-CX700, you may face problem importing AVCHD files to Apple Aperture, e.g. Aperture 3 does not read the video clips. It is because that only the videos in .mov or .mp4 format are supported by Aperture 3.
Both Sony HDR-PJ30 and CX700V could save HD videos in 1920x1080/60p, which is not iMovie compatible. Click the "Export into Editor" button, and choose Apple Aperture > Apple Aperture MOV(*.mov), which is compatible to Aperture.
