Convert Panasonic HDC-SD600 1080/60p MTS to Final Cut Pro 7 and Burn Blu-ray on Mac

Final Cut Pro 7 is new released with powerful new features like expanded ProRes codecs and some time-saving improvements like automatic transfer, easy export to burn a Blu-ray disc, and so on.
For Mac users, the BD burning process will be much more complicated. And Now with FCP 7 you can now easily burn a Blu-ray disc or a DVD directly from Compressor.  However, that AVCHD with at 1080 60p/50p MTS/M2TS is incompatible with Mac FCP 7 now! So, if you have a lot of 1080/60p files, how to burn into Blu - ray ?

Follow the quick steps below to burn Panasonic HDC-SD600 1080/60p MTS to Blu-ray on Mac Snow Leopard with Final Cut Pro 7.

Step 1. Load Panasonic SD600 AVCHD videos to Aunsoft SD600 AVCHD Converter for Mac.
After connecting Panasonic HDC-SD600 to iMac, copy and transfer the AVCHD files from SD600 through the AVCHD > BDMW > STREAM folder to Apple hard drive disk. Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best Mac SD600 MTS to FCP7 converter, and click the “Add” button to load the 1080p .mts videos.

Step 2. Choose Apple ProRes for Final Cut Pro 7.
Click the "Format" option, and navigate the mouse cursor to Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) as output format. The AVCHD to ProRes 422 converter will transcode Panasonic HDC-SD600 1080p AVCHD to Final Cut Pro native format.



Step 3. Convert HDC-SD600 AVCHD to ProRes MOV for Final Cut.

Step 4. Burn the edited video to a Blu-ray disc.
Log and transfer the output ProRes MOV to FCP 7. After editing the HD videos in FCP 7, click the File menu > Share.


Now share dialog box is display. The drop-down menu, upper left, should be set to Blu-ray.



Tick the check box for "Create Blu-ray disc" and be sure your Blu-ray burner is attached. Follow the setting options below and clikc "export".


When the export process is complete you'll be asked to insert a blank blu-ray disc.You will then be presented with a Burn progress window and then 'Burn Complete'.

By now you can enjoy your Blu-ray disc of AVCHD video from Panasonic HDC-SD600.
