Get Your Blu-ray Player Ready for BD Avatar!

Do you enjoy your home theater system? Of course you do! It is easy to get caught up in the latest in HDTV, surround sound, gadgets, and movies on Blu-ray Player. However, you might struggle with 2009 blockbuster movie Avatar blu-ray since the disc can not play in your blu-ray player.

Avatar will apparently not work on many Blu-ray players without a firmware update. According to a Best Buy service rep this evening, Avatar (in 2D) would not work on 70% of their in-store Blu-ray players before a firmware update.

But if you can’t wait, this is what you are looking for. In this guide I offer an easy way to enjoy decrypted Blu-ray Avatar in your home theater/ HTIB with only two parts involved: decrypt and re-author.

Part 1: Decrypt & full disc copy Blu-ray Avatar to hard drive

Step 1: Download, launch Blu-ray Ripper and load BD Avatar to the app
After you download and launch the all-in-one Blu-ray Ripper, load Blu-ray Avatar to the program by clicking “BD/DVD Rom” in the menu bar.

Step 2: Decrypt Blu-ray Avatar by choosing full disk copy and save BD folder to hard drive

After you successfully load blu-ray Avatar to Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper, specify your output folder in “Output” bar. After that, directly choose “Full Disk Copy” to decrypt BD Avatar to your hard drive ready for burning. When the process is finished, you can get Avatar BD folder in your output destination.

Part 2: Re-author Blu-ray Avatar with multiAVCHD for your Blu-ray Player

Now you’ve successfully decrypted Blu-ray Avatar and you have Avatar BDMV folder in your hard drive, it’s time to burn your own Blu-ray Avatar to enjoy in your home theater!

1. Download the latest version multiAVCHD_4.1 (33MB) .

2. Run multiAVCHD and add Avatar Blu-ray disc folder by clicking “AVCHD/BDMV/DVD folders” in the menu bar on the top of the software interface and specifying destination path of Avatar BD folder in pop-up window.

3. Click “Start” button to choose output format and burn.
Before you start re-author Avatar Blu-ray disc, make sure you insert a writable Blu-ray disc through Blu-ray drive. After that click “start” and then choose “For all Blu-ray players” in “Select destination media (USB/SD/SDHC/MMC/MemoryStick)”. The program immediately starts to burn. You can follow the process in “Log tab” at the right of the program’s interface. The process time depends on your original size of Avatar BDMV. And it may take some time.

Now enjoy fresh burned decrypted BD Avatar with your family in your home theater with blu-ray player!

TIPS:

1. Make sure your BD drive is both readable and writable for burning a Blu-ray disc. Some BD drives are only readable.

2. How to update your Blu-ray player?
There are a few different ways to update the firmware on most Blu-ray players. One method is to visit the manufacturer’s website for your particular model player and download the updated firmware via a home PC. From there, you will use that PC’s CD or DVD burner to write the firmware to a blank disc. Inserting that disc into the Blu-ray player allows the device to read in the new files and update itself appropriately.

If your Blu-ray player is setup to access the Internet, such as through your home’s wireless network, you can download the firmware update directly using the internal tools in the player’s setup menu. This method is the easier of the two, and in some cases, can be configured to automatically happen when new firmwares are released.
If you have a Blu-ray player that does not have the capability to connect to the Internet, you can bring the device into your local Best Buy. Geek Squad Agents can get your device up to date and ready to go with our in-store firmware update service.
