Apple iPad Sales Bring Rush to Tablet Computer
With the first figure of Apple iPad sales in the US reported recently, it seems that iPad is cannibalizing the sales of iPod. More and more manufacturers are preparing the tablet projects. There is rumor saying Hewlett Packard (HP) Slate was about to release the tablet computer with 1024 x 600 widescreen display, 1-GB RAM, USB port, 3-megapixel camera. Some manufacturers also name the table project similar to iPad. The German company Neofonie first announced the table project as WePad soon after Apple CEO Steve Jobs reported the iPad project. But Neofonie recently changed the name to Wetab, so as to clearly differentiate the product in the tablet marketplace. However, early this week, the Chinese company Hanvon released TouchPad to smash Apple iPad. There are more and more choices for choosing tablet computers, and we can enjoy more games, movies, read ebook with the small-enough devices for daily entertainment. However, one significant lack from the table computers is that there is no Blu-ray drive. That means, we shall convert Blu-ray to iPad, or convert Blu-ray to MP4 for watching Blu-ray and DVD on tablet computers like iPad, Wetab, TouchPad.
