How to convert/rip Blu-ray movies to WMV with 7.1 channels?
With the rising demand of high-definition video quality, Blu-ray Disc has becoming an optical disc storage medium designed to save high-definition videos. At the same time, more and more people want to enjoy Blu-ray movies on iPod, iPhone, PSP, Xbox, PS3, iRiver, Zune, Zen or other media player, not only on Blu-ray player.
The tutorial will share with you my solution to convert/rip Blu-ray to WMV maintaining 7.1 channels for playing on my window media player via Moyea Blu-ray ripper. Step 1: Free download this Blu-ray ripper here, install and run it.
Step 2: Load Blu-ray files into it
Step 3: Select output format as .wmv (Only WMV3 (WMV9) supports 7.1 channels)
Click the drop-down list “Format”, it is allows you to choose the proper output format you need with ease. Or, you can click the “Customize” button to open the profile manager window, beneath it you can only check the format categories you usually use to collect your own format profile so that you can select output format easier and faster.
In addition, click the “View Mode” button; you can easily switch the view mode for your reference in the process of choosing output format.
Step 4: Set 7.1 channels
Click the “Settings” button on the main interface, a profile window will pop up. Under it, you will see some useful info you can set, like bit rate, frame rate, size, video codec of Video and bit rate, size, sample rate, audio codec and channels of Audio. Remember the lager file bit rate, the bigger file size while the better output quality.
If you want to save the setting as default for next use, just hit the “Save as” button.
Step 5: Click the “Convert” button to start Blu-ray conversion
After all the necessary settings, you will get the converted Blu-ray files from its default folder within several minutes. Then you can use them for your own purpose.
