Convert/Import Canon 1000D MOV to ProRes for Final Cut Pro with Bright Color

Last week, I had joined my grandpa and grandma’s 50th wedding anniversary. Really impressive and happy. A long marriage can feature as many ups and downs as any Hollywood movie, and 50 years of wedded bliss most definitely deserves an award. I had recorded some marvelous fragments with my new Canon 1000D and wanted to edit the recordings before share with my family. After downloaded the recordings (which are H.264 mov format) from Canon 1000D to Mac hard disk, and imported them to FCP for editing, I found FCP can not recognize the files.

I have gone to some forums and there were a lot of choices to convert. Like Composer and Mpeg streamclip, I put my clips in Mpeg streamclip or Compressor & convert to prores 422, but my videos output darker. And someone said about the Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac, which can also support Canon 1000D MOV to ProRes conversion and have a function to adjust brightness, I tried and finally convert Canon 1000D MOV recordings in natural successfully. The effect function also helps a lot in color correction as it said.
