Convert/Merge AVCHD files to TS for Synology NAS 1TB with Popcorn Hour C-200

I have Lumix GH2 for taking photos and videos. While Popcorn Hour support playing AVCHD files, I would like to merge the MTS files from my Lumix GH2 and stream them to my TV via Popcorn Hour C-200 with the files stored on Synology NAS 1TB. While looking for the solutions to merge Lumix GH2 AVCHD footage on Mac for Popcorn Hour, I got Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the top rated AVCHD joiner on Mac Snow Leopard.

It is a pity that Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac does not work as lossless merging the AVCHD files. However, the output videos in .ts file extension provide best quality as I could find. If you would also want to merge mts files into one file on Mac OS X, just follow the quick steps with Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac, and make it easy to play sequential AVCHD files on HDTV with Popcorn Hour.

Step 1. Import GH2 raw files to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best GH2 MTS joiner on Mac, click the "Add" button to load the .mts or .m2ts files from the directory like AVCHD > BDMV > STREAM. The application also supports drag and drop to load files for conversion.

Step 2. Choose HD video format.
Click the "Format" option, and choose HD Video > MPEG-TS HD Video(*.ts) as output format. To get high quality video, you can also click the "Settings" button and enter 24000 the bit rate in kbps for 24Mbps, or 17000 for 17Mbps videos.

Step 3. Merge GH2 videos files.
Tick the checkbox for "Merge into one file", and you will get one file as output with the sequence listed on the application. If you would like to change the sequence order, just use the Move up or Move down button to change the ranking.

Step 4. Convert Lumix video files to TS for Popcorn Hour media player.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the Mac Lumix DSLR video converter will start converting GH2 AVCHD files to one TS file for Popcorn Hour C-200.

Tips:
1. For the 1080/60i or 1080/50i AVCHD videos from Panasonic GH2, you may need to deinterlace and remove the linese during playback. Just click on a video clip, and then click the "Editor" button. Go to the Effect tab and then make sure the checkbox of deinterlacing is ticked.

2. If you get other cameras or camcorders like JVC everio digital camera, Canon HF10, Sony DSC-HX5V, HDR-CX550, Panasonic HDC-TM700, the Mac video joiner will also make it easy to combine the files into one with one click.

3. If you would like to backup and make a full copy of the Bluray disk movie, DVD movies to Popcorn Hour, or other home entertainment equipments like WD TV and Netgear NAS, you can use Aunsoft iMedia Converter for Mac to rip the movies.
