Convert/Deinterlace Panasonic GH2 1080/60i AVCHD to 1080/30p files on Mac

The Panasonic Lumix GH2 shoots either 24P or 60i. I prefer to work with 30p footages. Is it possible to convert My GH2 1080/60i AVCHD clips to 1080/30p AVCHD? Are there any downsides to doing so such as loss of resolution or interlace artifacts? After search such a demand online, I found no program can help do convert 1080/60i AVCHD to 1080/30p AVCHD without losing quality, but get an alternative good way to deinterlace and convert my GH2 1080/60i AVCHD clips to 1080/30p AIC MOV for playing/editing on Mac without rendering or quality loss.

Now I just show my steps to deinterlace/convert Panasonic GH2 1080/60i AVCHD clips to 1080/30p AIC MOV on Mac.

Step 1. Upload Panasonic GH2 1080/60i AVCHD files to Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac.
Connect Panasonic GH2 to Apple iMac/MacBook Pro via USB 2.0 cable, run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best 2011 Mac GH2 1080/60i AVCHD converter. Click the "Add" button to browse and import the 60i .mts files from Lumix GH2 camera to Mac application.

Step 2. Choose AIC codec with 1920x1080 30p.

If you want remove the interlace artifacts from your 60i recordings, please click “Editor” button and click Effect to make sure the checkbox of Deinterlacing is ticked.



Step 4: Convert/deinterlace Panasonic GH2 1080/60i AVCHD to 1080/30p MOV with AIC.
Click the Convert button under the preview window, the Mac Panasonic Lumix GH2 video converter will start the GH2 AVCHD to AIC in 1080/30p resolution conversion
