How to Keep 16:9 Aspect Ratio from Canon FS200 MOD to MPG to Sony Vegas MS HD?

“I'm stuck with Canon FS200 camera for shooting videos for my client projects. I need to edit 16:9 .mod footage in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD, which is a cut down version of Sony Vegas Pro. I need to convert the Canon FS200 MOD files to MPG with original 16:9 aspect ratio for editing. Fortunately, I find Aunsoft Video Converter for my Windows computer to get HD videos in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD, and I figure out the way to make the videos appear as 16:9.”

Click the convert button under the preview window, and the Canon FS200 MOD converter will start converting 16:9 MOD to 16:9 MPG for Sony Vegas.

After the conversion, import the HD videos to Sony Vegas and adjust the Project Properties of the video file. Go to PROPERTIES for the MPG clip, choose to change it to NTSC Widescreen and make sure the check box for "Maintain Aspect Ratio" is ticked. The videos will show up as widescreen.
