Edit AVCHD Lite in Final Cut Pro/Express Convert MTS to MOV

AVCHD Lite is a new format introduced in 2009 along with cameras like Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3/TZ7 and …. The new cameras like DMC-ZS7/TZ10 are available in 2010. AVCHD Lite, as a subset of AVCHD, provides HD compression of video in 1280x720, instead of the AVCHD 1920x1080. It helps recording high quality video with small file size.

If you would like to edit AVCHD Lite in Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Express, you may connect the Lumix camera to Mac computer and try the Log and Transfer in latest version FCP/FCE to see if the camera is recognized. Step 1. Download Lumix AVCHD Lite video to Mac computer.
Connect your Lumix camera like DMC-ZS7, DMC-TS1 to Mac computer with USB cable, and the camera will be shown as a device. Open the folder and find the .mts files from PRIVATE > AVCHD > BDMW > STREAM, copy and transfer the AVCHD Lite files from the folder to Apple hard drive disk.
