Convert AVCHD/MTS/M2TS videos to MP4,AVI,MP3 to Adobe Premiere?

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 was released in April 14, 2010 with better performance in video production. The application is available for 64-bit. A few days ago, May 26, the updated version was published with the support to additional layers on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 GPU card. Well, it is much more powerful than ever and the price is much higher. I have a Panasonic HD video camera and shoot ballet dancing videos at a 1920x1080 resolution. The output video is AVCHD .m2ts file. Even though Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 supports AVCHD import from camcorders, the trial version does not work with .m2ts video yet. To edit AVCHD video on Adobe Premiere Pro, my solution is to convert the HD video filmed on the Panasonic camera to MPEG2, AVI for Adobe Premiere. Here is my experience of converting AVCHD camcorder video to Adobe Premiere compatible MPEG. I can put HD video to my Adobe Premiere Pro with the marvelous video editing functions. I am using Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter, which offers high quality and high conversion speed. Step 1. Load HD video to Aunsoft MTS/M2TS Converter. After transferring the HD videos from Panasonic camera to the computer hard drive, just run the AVCHD camcorder converter, and click the Add button to load HD videos in .m2ts format. The program also works with .mts, .ts, .tp. Step 2. Choose HD video output format. Click the Format option and choose HD Video > MPEG-2 HD Video (*.mpg). Tips: Adobe Premiere Pro also supports AVI, MP4, WMV import, which are available from the program. However, I prefer MPEG-2 for editing. To get high quality video output, I also click the Settings button, and choose Original for the Bitrate option. Step 3. Convert AVCHD video to MPEG. Click the convert button under the preview window, and the conversion from M2TS to MPEG-2 starts immediately. After a while the .mpg file will be ready in the output folder. Just run Adobe Premiere and import the .mpg file for video editing. It is really easy to convert AVCHD video M2TS to MPEG for Adobe Premiere. FYI, the m2ts converter also supports joining avchd videos into one file. You may have a try.
